Slow Cooker Ribs made with Perfect Bite BBQ Rib Rub and Perfect Bite Sassy Sweet BBQ Sauce

These ribs could not be more simple to make and they are FALL. OFF. THE BONE.

1 medium onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced (or use garlic press)
½ cup water
3-4 lb rack of ribs
1/2 cup Perfect Bite BBQ Rib Rub
1 cup Perfect Bite BBQ sauce (we used Sassy Sweet)

Line slow cooker with a liner (save yourself the mess). To slow cooker, add sliced onion, minced garlic and ½ cup water. Stir to combine. Remove silver skin off the back of ribs, and trim any other large areas of fat, as desired. Sprinkle Perfect Bite BBQ Rib Rub on the ribs and massage that into the front and back of the ribs. Add ribs to slow cooker, standing them up along the wall of the slow cooker. Set on low heat for 8 hours. Once cooked, carefully remove ribs onto cutting board – they will be falling off the bone by this point. Add your favorite Perfect Bite BBQ sauce or spice it up a bit with a little pepper jelly instead. This pepper jelly tip was given to us by a retired professional BBQ competition judge who said it created an amazing sweet/heat flavor. We used pepper jelly from a local Alabama business, Young Farms, and tried pineapple, peach and strawberry jalapeno pepper jelly. All were delicious, but pineapple was our favorite on these ribs! While Perfect Bite BBQ sauce still holds the top spot in our heart, we always love experimenting with something new.
